Cook - Northern France

PGL, founded in 1957, operates at 22 outdoor activity centres across the UK, France and Spain. We are the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people.

PGL have a fantastic opportunity for a Cook looking to develop a successful career in catering based at Chateau d’Ebblinghem, one of our activity centres in beautiful northern France. Located in Northern France and a stone’s throw from Belgium, the Château accommodates up to 270 guests and 30 staff, eight of whom are French nationals. The Château offers History and French language enrichment tours that are sold via PGL's sister company, NST. Chateau d’Ebblinghem has a warm and welcoming feel and is a fantastic place to work.

The catering operations at our activity centres are modern enterprises set up to deliver excellence in both service and food as well as providing supportive and fun environments to work.

As a PGL Cook you will build on your experience and help us continue to drive standards. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your catering skills, including cooking, ordering, accounting for stock and staff supervision.

What do we look for in our Cooks?

Experience of working in a high volume catering environment.
The ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
A positive approach to team working and problem solving.
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Working hours are 42 per week over 6 days. The role is a fixed term contract starting in January 2018 until October 2018. Accommodation is available on site.
